It has been such a joy to expose one of my paintings among the 38 talented artists at the 7th Salon of the Copyist painters in Louvre. The event was held at the Mairie du 6ème arrondissement in Paris. Here are a few photos from the vernissage in June:
The deputy mayor, Olivier Passelecq, the mayor of the 6th arrondissement in Paris, Jean-Pierre Lecoq, and the president of the Association of the Copyist painters in Louvre, Claude Midas, are holding a speech before the vernissage.
Well-executed copies of the old masters such as Botticelli, Da Vinci, Ingres, Rubens and Délacroix were represented this year. Below is me with my painting of Eugène Délacroix, "Confrontation of knights in the countryside" (73x60cm, oil on linen), which I have reproduced in Louvre recently.
